Websites For Artists (Basic)

Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council says
Build a basic website in less than a day! And, learn to effectively manage your site content with awesome pics and blogs and more. Learn how to effectively use Content Management Systems (you may have heard of CMS) to keep current and show off to the world all of the cool stuff you are creating so you can garner new/better opportunities.
As an artist or small enterprise, to be in demand is to be in demand. That is, consistently managing your content makes you look as busy as you really are, and for whatever reason everyone wants to hire the artist that looks in demand, so let's do this.

This first class is the Basic Website Management class - literally building your site. Two weeks later, you can follow up with the Advanced Website Management class. Want to attend both classes? If so, you will receive a discounted price. If you are familiar with Wordpress and have used and understand the interface, you should consider the Advanced Website Management class.

Steve Tolin, Teacher bio:

I own and operate Websites for Artists, a web design and development service focusing on the web needs of artists and creatives. I have been a professional (Special Effects) artist for 15 years working nationally and internationally based in Pittsburgh. By creating many versions of a website for Tolin FX (my specialized design and fabrication studio) over the years and building the websites of many other artists from directors to super heros to yarn shops, I have learned the art of building awesome and effective websites. In 2012 I started Websites for Artists and have built numerous websites for creative people, specifically because as an artist myself I understand how to communicate with artists and love seeing artists get their work out to the world. You may learn more about Websites for Artists at
