San Diego Museum of Art says
Set in New York City, the court room, and the "Wonder Show" sideshow, I'm No Angel (1933, not rated) stars Mae West in her iconic role as a burlesque dancer and lion tamer. Acting alongside Cary Grant, West's role for this film was inspired by her early experiences in Coney Island where her father worked as a prizefighter.

Take a trip to the rollicking shores of Coney Island this summer with "Coney Island: Visions of an American Dreamland" (July 11–October 11) and Film in the Garden, presented under the stars in the May S. Marcy Sculpture Garden.

Grab a blanket, bring a few friends, and be sure to arrive early for a good seat on the lawn. Panama 66 will be open to attendees to serve you from their menu, including a full bar. Please note no outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed. We are unable to accommodate dogs during Film in the Garden.
