Soldiers Who Salsa says
This event is your chance to SEE, HEAR, and EXPERIENCE first-hand the positive effect of the arts for our military veterans.
* ARTWORK from Combat Arts, an exhibition by post 9/11 combat veterans;
* MUSIC from Resounding Joy Inc.'s Semper Sound Band, part of their military focused music therapy program;
* DANCE from Soldiers Who Salsa class participants.

A highlight of the evening will be our guest speaker, Sgt. Juan Valdez, USMC (Ret), himself a combat-injured veteran. He served in both OEF and OIF, received (among other awards) the Purple Heart, and is also a graduate of our Soldiers Who Salsa program at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.

There will be Cuban inspired appetizers and drinks, along with some great silent auction items. At 8pm, we turn the dance floor over to United States Navy veteran Manny Cepeda and the Manny Cepeda Orchestra for live music and dancing until 10p!

Don't miss this chance to meet and support our local San Diego veterans who are all using the arts to heal.

Sponsored by Ginny Govil of SoCal Staging & Design, with volunteer services provided by Lynne Pine and the Rotary Club of Naval Base San Diego.
