Master the basics of whole-food, organic cooking while learning new culinary techniques and styles. In this class, we will explore how to cook with plant proteins. You will learn various sources including whole grains, peas, lentils and beans, their nutritional value, and how to pair them up for a complete meal. We will show you proper cooking techniques for different types of plant proteins that enhances digestablility and nutritional availability. We will discuss complementary proteins, controversial soy, and learn when and how to fit it in our diets.

After understanding the journey from nature to the point of purchase, we take the food to the table by preparing three recipes including:

- Fatoush Salad with Pickled Lemons
- Mediterranean Quinoa Salad
- White Bean Hummus

* All recipes in this class are vegan friendly

All ingredients and materials are included in the class fees. Attendees will receive generous samples and printed recipes to take home. Classes are $40 each with discounts available for students, military and seniors.
