Association of Cannabis Professionals says
We will have a night full of guests! Big thank you to Nate's Garden Grill for hosting us!

Carolyn Chase of EarthWorks; former assembly member and candidate for San Diego County Board of Supervisors, Nathan Fletcher; and Sheriff Commander and candidate for San Diego County Sheriff, David Myers will all speak on issues pertinent to our community.

Thanks again for those who celebrated Earth Day in style with the entire ACP team in the Canna Village! On May 17, you'll have the chance to meet the woman who helped make Canna Village a reality, Carolyn Chase, CEO of EarthWorks! EarthWorks has organized San Diego's Earth Fair for 28 years. Come hear how you can get more involved with EarthWorks and Earth Day in general!

We will also have with us former California Assemblyman and Marine Corp Veteran, Nathan Fletcher. Nathan ran in the San Diego special mayoral election against David Alvarez and Kevin Faulconer. His popularity within San Diego continues to grow. Nathan has announced his candidacy for County Board of Supervisors District 4 for 2018. District 4 includes most of the Central and Coastal parts of San Diego City. Last election, San Diego lost pro-cannabis elected official, Supervisor Dave Roberts. We elected conservative, Kristin Gaspar, and we now have a cannabis ban in the county. The County Board will be a highly contested race; it is imperative we pay special attention to candidates and their ideas on cannabis policy.

In addition to a friendly Board of Supervisors, a canna-friendly County Sheriff will also be a great addition for our movement. Candidate Dave Myers reached out directly to the ACP and asked to speak to our members. We are more than happy to give candidates a platform to speak. David currently serves as the Sheriff's Commander. He's worked at the Sheriff's Department for over 30 years. Myers has had to overcome challenges of his own after coming out while on the force. He is committed to fairness and to listening to the needs of our community.

We have a great line up of guests for you all this month! Our monthly meeting are free for all members and $5 for the general public at the door. Your memberships and donations help sustain our Association and allow us to continue to advocate for better cannabis policy. Memberships will be available for purchase at the event!
