The vertigo-inducing drop tower, named Swiss Tower, returns to this year's Autumn Fair in Basel for thrillseekers to get their adrenal fix.

Measuring 80 metres tall, the tower will go through City-Lounge's doughnut shaped roof and offers an amazing panoramic view of Basel for those braving the ride.

More than one million visitors are expected to visit the 545th Basel Autumn Fair, which will start on 24 October and will last until 9 November. With nearly 500 stalls, cars and attractions, the event is the most important and oldest amusement fair in Switzerland.
