Time Out says

A film exploring Australian Aboriginal culture in the modern world.

Inspired by the life of David Gulpilil, Rolf de Heer’s film is a bittersweet exploration of the Australian Aboriginal people’s difficulties in finding their place in post-colonial times. Oscillating between comedy and melancholy, the story follows the unique Charlie, a malicious old Aboriginal who refuses to see his traditions and freedom disappear, who embarks on a personal journey.

Screened in English/Yolngu with French subtitles
