Time Out says

See Zurich’s legendary new year fireworks from above – and dine like a king or let your hair down while at it.

Uto Kulm, perched atop Uetliberg with wide-reaching panoramas across Zurich, is a sassy place to see in the new year. There is the setting, the views – and the extravagant selection of parties: three are being held to see in 2016. For fine diners, the “Allegra” party features a swish five-course dinner, as well as music by duo Masters of Melody, who are renowned for their hearty singing. Meanwhile, “New Year’s Eve Fun” offers up a four-course menu and music by folk musician Sepp Mattlschweiger and his Juchee band. There is also the “Top of Zurich Party” with Swiss DJ El Fuerte, where you can expect to dance the night away to 80s, 90s, Latin and dance hits after finishing up your three-course menu. But the parties have one thing in common – and this might be the main reason you attend: the spectacular views of Zurich’s legendary New Year’s Eve fireworks. After setting off its own display at one minute past midnight, Uto Kulm and its guests turn to the lake and look on as the city lights up to see in 2016. Doors open at 6pm, while all parties draw to a leisurely close by 4am. Booking is necessary.
