Stars in Town

The name says it all: Stars in Town brings international bands to quaint Schaffhausen. The festival’s charm is renowned – think Herrenacker square at the heart of the old town as an open-air music venue for five balmy August days. On the festival line-up for 2015 are international stars including the UK’s Passenger and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, Germany’s Die Fantastischen Vier, the John Butler Trio from Australia and Finland’s Sunrise Avenue. Swiss acts are not forgotten either: among this year’s native performers are Pegasus, Bastian Baker and Stefanie Heinzmann. Meanwhile, the Family Festival, which takes place on the Sunday, features enchanting tunes for children and, for the first time, free admission. Go to enjoy great music and an unrivalled ambience.
