Loufmeter transforms Bern’s streets into a catwalk that showcases Swiss designers to unique effect.
You will never have seen anything quite like it: Bern as a living, breathing fashion show. Central to Loufmeter is a 75-minute parade of 40 models around the Swiss capital’s old town accompanied by a live band. This is a local catwalk on a big scale. The clothes and accessories featured are the work of designers based in Bern, including Adrian Reber, Lui Luis, Pamb, Pierrot & Pierrette and, new for 2017, Noé. Also on this year's line-up are kleinbasel from Basel and KLAMOTT from Arth. The designers will present their latest collections, and will also be on hand to greet visitors to a pop-up shop selling their work. It is a great opportunity to try on locally crafted designs while also discovering the ideas behind them. The route the models take is peppered with bars and cafes, providing vital sustenance so you can shop until you drop. Entrance is free and the event takes place no matter what the weather. The show starts at the Kulturbüro off Grabenpromenade.
