Lugano Autumn Festival

The Autumn Festival is the final open-air event of Lugano's summer season to be held in the town's pedestrianised zone by the lake. The festival celebrates some of the finest local produce with food and drink stalls lining the streets. A feature of the festival is the "grottini" - eating stations by local operators where you can sample typical Ticinese specialties, such as polenta with stew or beans and mortadella or roast pork, risotto, minestrone, gnocchi, Ticino wines and many other local delights. There's also live music, dance and entertainment as well as loads of kids activities including a parade, face painting and games.
