Luna Park

This fun fair has been visiting Geneva over Christmas and Easter time for around a century, and though the rides are now thoroughly modern beasts, the heart of the event probably hasn’t changed much. In age-old tradition, there’s ample chance for kids to stuff themselves with candy floss and sweets before testing the strength of their stomachs on the waltzers. Rides include water slides, a carousel and various contraptions that propel you upside down or round and round or both at once. Set up on the spacious Plaine de Plainpalais, it’s easy to combine a Christmas visit to Luna Park with the Cirque de Noël nearby.
