Time Out says

Time Out Market is a unique global concept, celebrating authentic flavours and bringing together the best food and chefs of the city, all under one roof. What started in 2014 with the opening of Time Out Market Lisbon has turned into a global phenomenon: Time Out Market Barcelona, which opened in July 2024, is the ninth location of this culinary concept, following in the footsteps of major cities around the world (New York, Montreal, Porto, Cape Town and more).

You’ll find Time Out Market Barcelona at Port Vell, on the terrace-viewpoint of Maremagnum. Directly accessible from the street via escalators and a lift, the 5,250 square metre space features a curated selection of 12 chefs, a full-service restaurant and four bars, two of which are outdoors with spectacular views of the sea and the city, including iconic buildings like the Torre del Reloj in Barceloneta and the new fish market.

Sipping Sundays: Cocktail Masterclass at the Time Out Market

Every summer Sunday, from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, come to Bar Xaloc at Time Out Market Barcelona to learn how to make your own cocktail in a hands-on class led by one of the most experienced bartenders in the industry, Carlos Guinjoan, for just €18! Book your spot here. Guinjoan, after nearly ten years exploring every corner of the beverage world, has truly earned his throne at Bar Xaloc as Head Bartender. Before settling in with his shaker at Time Out Market, he worked at some of the city’s most coveted gastronomic spots, like Hotel The One H10, Naunet Lounge Bar, and Monument Hotel. You’ll find him at the market on the last day of the week, shaking cocktails like a maraca player, with the precision of a percussionist, and sharing his savoir faire with all of you. Confident in his skills, he calls himself @the.oldfashionedguy on social media—go ahead and check him out. Ready to learn from the best? Afterwards, if you get hungry, you can satisfy your appetite at any of the market’s spectacular food corners and enjoy free activities as well.

Barre & Brunch at the Time Out Market

You’ve got to squeeze every drop out of the weekend’s leisure time. On Sunday morning, the big party continues at the Time Out Market, after a more or less wild Saturday (depending on what kind of beast awakens in you by the end of the week). Sign up for a 50-minute barre class with sea views, then recover with a great feast from Fran López, a Michelin-starred chef. When? Sunday, June 15, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Spots are limited and reservations are required—so hurry up! The price is 27 euros. The class is courtesy of Serotonin Studio, a fitness studio specializing in functional training, located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi neighborhood. If you’ve never tried barre and you’re a fan of Pilates, yoga, or dance, you’ll love it: it combines Pilates movements with ballet barre exercises to tone the body like a dancer and tap into that rhythm that only dance can inject into a workout. A serotonin boost that will only get better with the post-class brunch! You’ll get to choose from a salmon and avocado toast, a Nutella crepe, pancakes with butter and honey, or a ham and cheese toastie. Looking for more fun moments? Sign up for other free activities at the market or simply stroll through the space and be dazzled by the breathtaking sea views while enjoying a snack from one of the fantastic restaurants set up in the Time Out Market.

Reading party at the Time Out Market

Looking for a quiet spot to read? Time Out Market is already set for the occasion, with its views of the port, the sun warming the terrace, and the breeze taking the edge off the heat. It’s the perfect moment to enjoy reading in community, turning pages alongside fellow book lovers. Can the Time Out Market reading party get any better? Yes—just stick around for more vermouth or a Sunday-worthy lunch at any of the market’s fantastic food spots. Stay tuned! You might even catch another free activity happening during the week.
