It’s so heartwarming when national institutions come together and create a bigger, much more exciting national amalgamation. Today, bargain boozer chain Wetherspoons has signed an agreement with holiday resort park brand Haven, in what some are calling the English ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

The pub chain will open its first holiday resort branch in Primrose Valley Haven, which is in north Yorkshire.

A spokesperson told the BBC there are plans to expand into more of Haven’s 38 holiday parks, but did not specify which ones or when. Haven’s chief operating officer, Peter Blake, described the partnership as an example of the company’s ‘dedication to growing our food and beverage partnerships and offering for our holiday-makers and holiday homeowners.’

Wetherspoons currently has over 800 pubs in the UK, making it the biggest pub chain in the country. ’Spoons pubs are known for their affordability, and this announcement comes during their big January sale, which offers drinks for as little as £1.99. You can find out all about that here
