Ten albums in, Pond’s momentum is showing no signs of slowing. Since forming in Perth back in 2008, the beloved psychedelic rock band has been painting stages silver all around the world. From being named NME’s ‘Hottest New Band in the World’ in 2012, to recently supporting Queens of the Stone Age across their Australian and New Zealand tour, Pond has been going from strength to trippy strength.

With an extensive North American tour currently in progress and their tenth album (which was recorded locally in Western Australia) about to be released, Pond will finally bring the show back home this winter. The album, titled Stung!, will bless our ears from June 21 onwards and the band will take to the stage the next week – giving you just enough time to learn all the words.

The magic will happen at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Friday, June 28, for one night only. After one enchanting evening, Pond will jet off to continue the tour with stops in Brisbane and Fremantle. They’ll also play in Sydney on Friday, June 14, as part of Vivid.

Melbourne tickets are still available over here and they’ll set you back just $59.90. So, whether you’re ready to jump right in or you’re curious to dip your toe in the water, now could be the perfect chance to see Pond in the flesh.

Ever since winning the Triple J Unearthed Listen Out competition in 2016, Alice Ivy has been soaring through the Australian music scene on a stellar and highly collaborative path. She’s released two studio albums since then, the second of which was nominated for an ARIA Award in 2020. Now, she’s about to head off on tour to support her forthcoming third studio album, which comes out on June 21.

Aside from being pertinent advice for a life well lived, Do What Makes You Happy is also the name of Ivy’s new album. The very next day after it comes out (namely Saturday, June 22), you can hear it for yourself at the wonderfully eclectic Fitzroy venue the Night Cat

Ivy is known for her collaborative spirit, having worked with the likes of Mallrat, Mayer Hawthorne and more for Do What Makes You Happy. In the past, she’s also teamed up with Thelma Plum, Sycco, Ngaiire and Bertie Blackman. On the night, pop, indie and electronic artist Matilda Pearl (who draws plenty of Charli XCX comparisons) will take a support slot, as will boundary-pushing producer, violinist and singer Elle Shimada.

If there’s a uniting theme to Ivy’s music, it’s that it’s all designed to make audiences happy and get them dancing. Thankfully, the Night Cat’s unique layout with a stage right in the middle of the room usually means there’s space to let out your best dance moves. Tickets for Alice Ivy are on sale now for $39.79, over on Moshtix

It’s been a long time since Adele last performed in Australia (seven years, in fact), but a returning stage show featuring all of her greatest hits will make it feel as though no time has passed at all.

Starring award-winning British singer Naomi Price, Rumour Has It is a dazzling production that explores how Adele went from a young singer in London to the highest-selling recording artist of the 21st century. Blending brash wit with heartfelt tunes, it’s set to be an unmissable evening of musical excellence.

Supporting Price in this career-defining show will be vocalists Rachel Everett-Jones, Luke Kennedy and Lai Utovou, along with a 20-strong live orchestra. The set list spans her entire catalogue of legendary hits, including ‘Someone Like You’, ‘Hello’, ‘Rolling In The Deep’, ‘Rumour Has It’ and ‘Skyfall’.

“The British powerhouse is one of the best-selling artists of all time and her songs hit a high note with audiences of all ages and musical tastes,” said Price. “I’m looking forward to injecting a dose of her daring and playful personality throughout the show and delivering an unforgettable experience for audiences."

The exclusive one-off performance will take place on June 28 at Hamer Hall. For more information and to book tickets, head to the website.
