As bittersweet as it may feel to say goodbye to summer, you can't deny that fall in Chicago carries its own set of perks. Spend the early days of the season enjoying the last bits of languorous warmth of September at apple orchards in the countryside; then, as temps begin to drop and fall foliage erupts into golden color, head out to pumpkin patches and corn mazes for warm apple cider and cinnamon-dusted doughnuts. And as Halloween in Chicago draws nearer, go thrill-seeking at haunted houses and spooky pop-ups scattered throughout the city. It won't be long before we're huddled inside for winter, so get out and enjoy the city with the best things to do in the fall in Chicago.
