Turning on the lights at the Jack Daniel's Barrel Tree

If traditional Christmas trees needle you, this might offer a pleasing alternative. The folks from Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey are building an 8m-high tree constructed of white oak barrels, originally used to mature whiskey, which will be located in Covent Garden's East Pizza for the festive season. The build itself will take two days, with 11 people involved in the nine-tier construction, and shoppers will be able to buy limited-edition bottles of the whiskey at the site.
