Very special little gallery with a mighty Collection and top-notch exhibitions. They also do a lot of work with the local community and are involved in learning and wellbeing programmes with the elderly. Such a shame that they don't have the big premises that they deserve - I encourage everyone to nominate Ben Uri to help them achieving this aim! In a time when migration and identity play such an important role in our lives, Ben Uri is a leading voice and offers inspiration to so many Londoners. Go Ben Uri, go!

With an ever changing roster of free temporary exhibitions, a trip to Ben Uri always yields something new! Its focus on migrant art and identity make its collection a vital voice in modern London, with its large range of catalogues offering excellent research sources for students, academics and anyone interested in the breadth of 20th century art.

Beautiful hidden museum, unexpected location and artwork. Worth a visit, specially if you're into the arts.

Hidden gem of a gallery space, hidden away in leafy NW8 (just off Abbey Road).  I've lived in NW London for almost 5 years and only just discovered it.  The current exhibition on Sir William Rothenstein and his close contemporaries is well worth seeing  - particularly good to see the stunning Day of Atonement by Jacob Kramer.

Nice to go into an Art Gallery on a Saturday afternoon and have the entire place to yourself.  A calm, well-curated space.
