John Latham: The Spray Paintings

The Lisson’s seventh exhibition of the late British conceptualist focuses on his spray-painted works. Latham first started exploring the medium in the 1950s, saying it held ‘a dizzy promise’. On show are early experiments including ‘Sleep’ (1955), a series of marks that resemble a reclining figure.
