José Damasceno: Plot

For the past four years, the Brazilian artist has been researching London’s architecture to find the perfect location for his Artangel commission. Surprisingly he found creative and anthropological inspiration inside the Holborn Library and has created an experiential intervention throughout the building. Books have been a career-long passion and the project merges fiction with reality and harnesses the unexpected encounter to full effect. Damasceno even discovered a forgotten architectural gem on the library’s fourth floor and has returned the cinema and theatre space to its former glory and of course in true Artangel-style you can expect an interactive experience.
