Formerly a director at the Lisson and Haunch of Venison, famed collector Pilar Corrias opened this Rem Koolhaas-designed art gallery in October 2008 with a giant aluminium Christmas tree by acclaimed sculptor Philippe Parreno. The two-floor gallery covers 3,800 sq ft and lies just north of Oxford Street. Despite being a relative newcomer, it has won plaudits for its solo shows and large-scale projects that go outside the gallery's physical boundaries. Other artists represented by Pilar Corrias include Tala Madani and Keren Cytter, as well as the ever-innovative Francis Alÿs. The focus is firmly on cutting-edge contemporary talent.
