The award winning Norwegian photographer Silje Lovise Gjertsen’s series ‘A Black Hole in the Ocean’ uses experimental darkroom techniques to capture unspecified spaces; Yucheng Ji’s prints reference engravings from 19th Century novels and critique historical artefacts humorously; Scarlet Muller’s ‘Second Space’ wood cut print series articulate architectural spaces in geometric forms; Alis Oldfield’s video ‘Planet Phantastic’ depicts a computer-generated universe almost identical to ours and Susana Díaz Pérez’s installation ‘Artificially White’ explores the beauty of nature through manmade materials.
