Time Out says

The Glasshouse at RHS Garden Wisley is a tropical paradise all year round, brimming with tree ferns, tall palms, lush-leaved creepers and dazzlingly colourful flowers. In January each year hundreds of butterflies are released into the jungle-like environment to feed on the nectar plants, flirt with each other and be admired by visitors. Look out for a whole host of beautiful varieties of the insect, many of which sound like reserve characters from 'Gladiators'; Blue Morpho, the Giant Owl, the King Swallowtail and the Malay Lacewing will all be making an appearance. A puparium will help demonstrate the magical way caterpillars get a very impressive makeover, and younger visitors can take part in themed craft workshops during half-term (Feb 14-22). Entry is free with admission and timeslots can be booked in advance.
