Quality over quantity is the watchword at this beer-centric boozer. With associate pubs across the city, the branch in Battersea Rise benefits from its Smoke Poke menu, which includes chicken wings, chili dogs and other brewski-friendly American nosh. The endlessly rotating list of guest ales means you’re unlikely to find a beer lover who can’t find something new to relish each week.

Extremely knowledgeable staff keep the patter relaxed amid an unpretentious décor – album-cover art, old ads, neon signs. The vibe is lad-lite: it’s a good place for low-impact chat, or to watch the rugby without having to resort to pointless pints of Carling. Drinks are served in thirds, two-thirds or straight-up pint measurements, giving affordable access to imports or unusual microbrews. And staff are very liberal with their samples. The playlist sounds like it was put together by Don Henley – but in a good way.

Went to the Draft House with a friend, we sat down, looked around and I exclaimed - why the hell haven’t I been here before? It seems like the kind of place I would like: chilled back, fun interior with an extensive beer list. Then I looked at the menu prices and aaaah that’s why I don’t regular the place.

Okay, the food isn’t that expensive - we got a burger and chips for about 12 quid. But the beer, which is a wonderfully put together list of crafts and unknowns and deliciousness, is more than I’d like to pay.

The burger itself was rather calm when ordering - I was nervous about it’s like of pizazz. It was basically just a burger, with a patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato and bun. But I was pleasantly surprised when eating it - incredibly tasty delicious mouthfuls of meat, bun and cheese. I don’t know what they put in it, but it was good.

The beer too, was excellent, but got a 2/3rd for nearly 4 pounds. Would love to go back, but will go knowing that the bill will be a bit much!

This pub is one of the best choices in the area when it comes to both the variety of beers (and let's not forget the nibs) as well as the atmosphere - cool deco with posters and neon lights. The stuff is mostly young chilled people always happy to help and even apologise for the slow service of food that happens sometimes. The wait is usually worth it though, as the food is definitely above average pub food - the smoked pulled pork bun, the shake n'bake (for the really hungry ones) or the mac'n'cheese are just a few of the options offered apart from the classic burgers and fish and chips - even the most demanding could find something!

Great Day! Honest service from real people, and great beers to boot. Hotdogs were a bit meh but the burgers are top notch! would come again!!
