Rubbish. Bad drinks, bad staff, looked quite nice... Won't be returning

What a night! I knew the one in Paris and I was so impress to find one in Ldn. It was hard to find and to get in but I understand why! Amazing atmosphere, such a tasty cocktail list, great Dj and beautiful girls... See you next week!

We arrived right on the dot of 6 but the meathead at the door insisted on us lining up. Not a great start given the fact that we knew the place was empty. COol space and the Canadian bartender was friendly and happy to chat while he prepared some pretty complex cocktails after that things went downhill. Having no reservation we were shunted around from stool to stool until at about 7 we were wedged next to the bar even though the entire second floor was empty. Staff were cold to the point of being rude. Pretty rubbish experience and definitely not recommended unless you are there only to be seen and not served, which I get the impression was the case with a few too many of their clientele. Be warned.

Turned up at around 8pm and was dismissed by staff at the door who said that the club was bookings only - a lot of attitude from the bouncer. I cant believe it is so difficult in this day and age to get a decent cocktail - why does everyone put up with such attitude from these sorts of places which are all too cool for school - apparently you only get in if your face fits!

Went last night - good drinks (admittedly) but really awful slow service. There are better cocktail bars out there in London - Purl, 69 Colebrooke row for example. ECC - definitely one to avoid...

The drinks are great and the ambience is perfect for a date. It has a slightly different vibe to the one in Paris, but equally impressive. I have been reading a few people's comments and thought I would write a few points in ECC's defence: - If you have been to the one in Paris you will know that ECC is a pretty intimate place, I would recommend groups of 2 but anything up to 4 people should be easily accommodated. - There is no need to book unless you are coming (very) late. They keep seats free for walk-ins so unless you have a favourite spot you gain little advantage by booking. If you don't book you might lose the sense of entitlement that most of your complaints give across. - Dress to impress. This is a trendy speak-easy style cocktail bar that keeps seats free for walk-ins. Unless you know the staff, they have to sort out capacity by first impressions of the walk-in clientele. You may not like it, but make the best possible first impression. - Expect to wait a bit for your drinks when the place is busy. If you are with company that you enjoy this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Plus, I have always had a good chat with the serving staff when they come to apologise for the time delay (which the inevitably do if the wait is unreasonable). Any surliness at the door is more than made up for by the friendliness inside!

All attitude and dickishness......not going back.

The place is fantastic: Great atmosphere, amazing drinks. Service is super friendly, but not super fast. fair warning, it is not a fast food place and it's not the local pub, so yes, it can be slow sometimes, but it's worth the wait. if you go there to order drinks and get wasted, i wouldn't recommend it. if you go with friends and want to socialize as you wait for drinks, then this is one of the best.
