Venue says: "Tom Lubbe's Majas Rose, unique to us, performing perfectly on our terrace come rain or shine – and part of our happy hour, from 5pm to 7pm."

No prizes for guessing what this Fulham venue specialises in. It's an offshoot of the Kensington original and offers the same kind of thing: bottles to take away or drink in, wine tastings, special wine events and a restaurant serving small plates.

Each of the wines is available by the glass, with worlds old and new represented relatively evenly. Expect Burgundian chardonnays, Rieslings from Australia, the US and Germany, a number of 'classics' and a few heavyweight reds, such as a 2012 tempranillo from Bodegas y Vinedos Alion, in Ribera del Duero.

The small plates include dishes such as foie gras terrine with apricot chutney, seared scallops with celeriac purée and saffron vinaigrette, and sesame-seared tuna with a potato and mango salsa, shiitake mushrooms and spring onion.

my favourite local wine bar and conveniently located just up the road from Fulham library..

They serve almost every type of wine by the glass, I love a mild white like Reisling or any of the dessert wines of course! They also have private hire rooms without minimum spend if you fancy celebrating an event with a wine tasting session.

I also really like the menu here, rich foie gras with salt, peach chutney and raisin bread is such a good pairing. The great thing about British summers is they’re so short, you don’t have to diet for very long.

An amazing atmosphere offering beautiful dishes and wine professionally paired to each dish. I for one am a red meat, red wine lover so don't really try the chicken or white wines. Try some pairing but be careful not to stay on the recommended wines all night as they can be pricey and surprise you at the end of the night when you get the bill. Highly recommend this place. Great for wine conersers or beginners who want to learn more about great wines.
