I had been to g.a.y  before after rallying outside parliament to lower the age of consent for gay men..it was a good night. im a lesbian & the one thing I always thought was fantastic about the gay scene is that everyone was made to feel welcome no matter what!! in a time when clubs required ties & trousers .. no jeans & no trainers the gay scene didn't do that & it was great.my home town has no gay scene so I  travelled over 100 miles for a night out at g.a.y . as I was filing in with everyone else this troll of a door woman put her arm across blocking my entry & told me I couldn't go in. i hadn't done anything. i was completely embarrassed & shocked, when i tried to ask her why & talk to her she got aggressive & got the men doormen over to get me away. i had to just go, i didn't know London very well,  i didn't know anywhere else to go, i think my crime was that i was alone & maybe because i was too old... i was 32 at the time. i would never attempt to go there again because it was totally horrible. so if you are solo, female or over 30 don't bother with the place because it could happen to you. the door staff need attitude adjustment!!

i have been there 2time and like it but i did not like they new i have a bf and they still asking me out or for a fuck
