Salisbury Hotel

So much potential with an amazing building and space but sadly wasted... The pints are watered down and they charge extortionate prices for the privilege, literally criminal!

The Salisbury is top class, beers spirits: can't complain serve the works Jaegers, tequila, sambucca Indie crowd sooner or later Hoxton/stoke newington/kingsland rd will creep up here then it all doubles. best place in London. Cab company across the road. Best kept secret in London :)

I had to pinch myself as this couldn't be the place was in.... Not an exaggeration to say a wait of 10 minutes to get a drink. I started to to think I was invisible as I was definately stood at the bit of the bar where you can get served. Five staff on duty all of whom were busy washing glasses, stirring the mulled wine, chatting to the chef, fixing the credit card machine, filling in there shift checklist. I even resorted to calling the pub to ask for a drink but they didn't answer the phone.....absolutly hopeless service and just another example big chain pub mediocrity and ameture "cant be arsed" service that is the tumour of the pub industry in the capital. No doubt this place will end up as many other geogeous Victoria pubs have, as a McDonalds. Shame on you...if the managers can't run a pub or inspire their team to take any pride in what they do and genuinly looking after people, then pack your shit up and go and work in a call centre. No rating....life is too short to waste it in a gloomy pub where your custom isn't valued so I left. Some say if you want a drink then shout up but why should you? I say it's with your feet. Go somewhere else, have a good experience and spend your money where someone gives a shit.......

Glad to see this place still kicking. Probably the thing I miss most about living in London. Delicious food, staff who know their stuff, and a pleasant crowd. Prepare to be pleased.

The burgers....Mmmmmmm..... Amazing. No TVs, brilliant. No loud crap music, brilliant. Awesome beers and ales, brilliant. Friendly staff, brilliant. No shoreditch twats, brilliant.

Nice pub,bar staff are friendly and on the ball,a good mix of people,very relaxed,gets my vote.

Excellent local boozer, good cheap pints, loads of bitter choices, always lively. Much better than Garden Ladder nearby!
