Despite signage that looks like it was designed with the help of the Microsoft paperclip, The Hop and Berry is a charming pub with 12 frequently updated taps and lots of quiet corners in which to enjoy their issue. The beer selection (and the pub’s distance from their respective breweries) is displayed on a pleasingly neat board on one wall, and a map marked with the London Brewers’ Alliance members adorns another – it’s obvious staff care about your pint’s carbon footprint. The kitchen is taken over by a new street food trader each month, so your stomach will be lined with something far more interesting than pallid chips for once.
