The Great Sausage Roll Off

I used to travel from Finsbury Park to this fabulous pub with a huge beer garden. the Sunday roast is superb although the chef has changed recently and the main menu isn't as good sadly. Hopefully s/he was just on holiday.
I could not love this place more. We come out to Barnes to escape central London. The Red Lion is perfect after long weekend walks along the Thames or a visit to the the London Wetland Centre. Their roasts and puddings are phenomenal, the service is warm and friendly, there is always a great selection of dogs to admire (for us Londoner's who can only watch on longingly) and it is always warm and cosy in the winter. Shh, don't tell anyone!
