  • What a disappointment, and far too expensive for what you get. We had lunch, and both our meals were absolutely tasteless. My starter (endive salad) was mostly comprised lettuce leaves with some endive and sugared walnuts (yes, sugared walnuts!) with an insipid dressing. My husbands whitebait was tasteless. Our main course of fish and chips was, again, tasteless. The fish had obviously been frozen, the chips tasted as if they'd been re-heated (not twiced fried) and the tartare sauce, served in little pots, had a 'crust' on the top indicating they'd been in their pots for some time. The ladies toilet, although clean, is in a bad state of disrepair, with the toilet floor lino so worn away that the floorboards underneath are mostly visible (not very hygenic!). A tap was loose, so I nearly got 'showered' whilst washing my hands. I would NOT recommend The Trafalgar Inn as the food is very, very mediocre. There are plenty of other places nearby where you'd eat better food more reasonably priced.

  • Recently went to a private function and was appalled by the attitude of the 'bouncer'!! He was very rude and extremely aggressive and I was totally embarrassed for the host who had paid a lot of money to be spoken to in that manner! Great venue but they need to take a close look at their staff and invest in some kind of course teaching manners and how to speak to paying guests!!! I was considering booking my 40th there but will take my custom elsewhere and make sure everyone I know steers clear of being humiliated and bullied too!

  • The Trafalger is obviously living off its historical background and view. Another historical figure is Dick Turpin who at least wore a mask when he robbed you. £3.90 for a pint of beer is extortionate

  • Ignore the website that shows a restaurant with table clothes and quite posh. It is in fact a basic pub restaurant but with prices over the top for the ambience. The food was good if you want a gastro pub style meal although pricey. The service was also good. If you are looking for a special night out then this is not the place - you will be very dissapointed

  • Great view across the thames and great beer selection. Interesting little menu but VERY small portions. £13.00 for 5 tiny ribs which is described as a "rack" served with a teaspoon of coleslaw is not what you expect as "pub grub" it was more Nouveau cuisine sized ! . I would drink there again but I'd give the rip-off food a miss, there are plenty of pubs in the area that are much better value if you want a decent meal.
