At the most famous hotel in London, maybe the world, is the ultra-suave and coolly low-key Beaufort Bar, quite possibly the most attractive space to sip a drink in the city. Despite the fact it’s just off the lobby (which is always busy with tourists wandering in and coming-and-going guests), it’s a hideaway of supreme style and opulence. Jet-black walls, theatrical lighting and enough discreet touches of gold to remind you you’re somewhere beyond special: the refurbished (2013) Beaufort is just stunning. Good job then that the drinks are first-rate – far more creative than at its neighbouring American Bar, and many incorporating fizz to great effect. A stunning place.

This is one of my favourite bars in London. The decor is very dark art deco style. On weekends they have a pianist that sings. The cocktailenue is a pop-up menue so that you can visualize the inspiration. The cocktails there cost from £16 up to £50. When we went we tried two cocktails I had the embankment garden whuch was delicious and one of the cheaper options, my friend however tried a milky option the name escapes me and it sounded delicious it was meant to have pekans and star anise but tasted like a watered down baileys with star anise infused. Not nice, when we asked if we could switch cocktails for her the staff were more than accommodating. All in all a love place for a quiet nightcap.

Dark and decadent are the two main words one would use to describe this bar. It’s sultry jazz playing in the background highlight the allure of the opulent décor and furnishings.

We came here to celebrate a new job and that happened to fall on the day they launched a new pop up cocktail menu! The most imaginative way to make people really engage in what they wanted to drink. As it was a celebration, we opted for champagne but if I could’ve chosen any cocktail, it would’ve been the Ol’ Blue Eyes. Staff were also really friendly and attentive.

Very, very good cocktails in a very, very special setting. For a fancy occasion you could do a lot worse than head to this gorgeous, art deco bar. Yes it's expensive but you're experiencing a little slice of London's history in the process.

I just spent the last 4 days of a month long vacation in London. I spent three of those nights at the Savoy. It is undoubtedly one of the best drink venues I have ever been too. There is no attitude nor pretention with service. You feel very welcomed. I had Ole Blue Eyes in the Champagne Bar ( the Art Deco bar) and at 25 GPS it was great. A special Silver Jack Daniels, with a touch of Benedctine and a few squeezes of fresh orange burned with a match served on a coaster of an old 45 rpm record of an old Sinatra recording. after the 5 minute description of the drink from the bartender and his traveling Art Deco bar - it was fabulous!!!!
