The Duke's Head is set in a Victorian grade II listed building right next to the river Thames. It's particularly attractive due to its big outdoor space, which gets really busy on sunny days.
The menu features gastropub classics such as burgers, mussels of the day and chicken pot pie, but it's the steaks that the kitchen really specialises in.

This is the first time we have been to the Dukes Head in a while. We went for a Fish & Wine event they were holding. I'm not sure if its under new management but I cannot fault the food, staff, ambience. The evening started with the chef (apparently only been there a few months) describing how the menu will be prepared and answering any questions we had on the menu to preparing different types of fish. Then the bubbly sommelier Kiwi Katie, talked us through the wines we were going to have for each course. I have to say that the food and wines were absolutely delicious, fantastic value for money and a great night. I will not be leaving it as long as we did last time to visit!
