Located just off Fleet Street, Hack & Hop is a 'local beer house' serving a large, changing selection of craft beers and ales alongside a seasonal food menu. Their food menu features a number of tweaks on classic modern gastropub fare, such as steak tartare with quail’s egg and a ‘sausage board’ for two featuring five different varieties served with condiments and bread.

Hack & Hop also offers ‘bespoke menus’ for large groups under the headings of 'pies', 'table dishes' and 'beasts'. The beasts include Gascony black suckling pig, roast haunch of wild boar, and Brick Lane chicken with Bombay roasties, bhajis and spiced greens. They also do Sunday roasts (at lunchtime only).

The Hack & Hop 'brewers of the month' series proves popular, too. Expect a variety of local brewers showcasing their wares.

One of the top craft beer bars in London, part of the group consisting Old Red Cow and Dean Swift, the Hack and Hop is probably the baby of this family. But it sure has great talent. They have a great array (different from the other 2) of craft beers and the staff are amazingly friendly. It can get busy, but there are other pubs that I have seen worse. The location makes for a good after work drink and also the food menu is top notch. Definitely will be back soon.

Tried this place out last night due to this review but was not very good. Service was poor and beers and ciders were out..
