Located just off Fleet Street, Hack & Hop is a 'local beer house' serving a large, changing selection of craft beers and ales alongside a seasonal food menu. Their food menu features a number of tweaks on classic modern gastropub fare, such as steak tartare with quail’s egg and a ‘sausage board’ for two featuring five different varieties served with condiments and bread.
Hack & Hop also offers ‘bespoke menus’ for large groups under the headings of 'pies', 'table dishes' and 'beasts'. The beasts include Gascony black suckling pig, roast haunch of wild boar, and Brick Lane chicken with Bombay roasties, bhajis and spiced greens. They also do Sunday roasts (at lunchtime only).
The Hack & Hop 'brewers of the month' series proves popular, too. Expect a variety of local brewers showcasing their wares.
We specialise in great British craft beers with a range of 12 keg, four cask and 85+ bottled beers (including 750ml sharing bottles), as well as having an eclectic list of foreign brews from all over the globe. Our staff are well trained and add a friendly introduction to show all that is good about beer!
Our 'family-style' Sunday lunch is one best in town and ideal for large groups. We also have a bespoke menu which is great for big party bookings where you can enjoy large sharing dishes of food in a friendly and relaxed environment.
The venue is available for private hire on evenings and weekends and there is no premium for wedding receptions and the like - please get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like any of our menus or details for hiring space in the venue!
The 'Local Beer House' concept was created in 2010 so that you can enjoy craft beer and seasonal food in a relaxed environment. All our beers are brewed with craft and flavour and our food menu is based on our core principles of preparing the finest ingredients the seasons have to offer.
