Absolutely awful. Waited 2 hours to get in on New Years Eve/Day despite having a ticket (after the 2 hour wait and 1 of my friends being let in, only Blacks and Asians remained). Staff and security are incompetent mongrels. Inside isn't special nor is the DJ. Basically a waste of time, if your young and an ethnic minority.

Great if your not a black male, have girls with you and have 1000s pound to get a table.

Whilst debating this at the door the girl with the moustache let a group of white lads in. When we asked what the differece was we where told that 'They suited the clubs look and where the type of clients they where looking for....WOW" really in 2014 this still happens? Lols,

Cruddy Racist club in Kilburn, trying hard to be high end still stick in the 80s thinking black people would deem the club lower end if they attend, rude door stuff, should have highlighted that blacks where not allowed on the guestlist at least we would have had the heads up before wasting our time. Girl at the door with moustache was overly rude and seemed to be on an ego trip.

If you are black, asian or simply not white, do consider this club would likely not let you in if you are not 'the right look'

Absolutely awful place. Whilst the door staff were lovely the manager is one of the most pretentious twits I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Despite booking a bday guestlist in advance and having it confirmed he let lots of groups of pretty young girls in for free then rudely informed me that my party would only get in if we wanted a 500 pound table. I think not! As a professional I do not have a problem paying for a table at a premium venue however to be belittled by a silly little man who clearly delights in being highly offensive is a travesty. Needless to say I took myself and my party elsewhere. If you are of an ethnic minority I would steer well clear of this venue I am afraid!

Since this venue was taken over in September it has been transformed into an amzing enviroment with a spectacular vibe. The staff are so personal and friendly and the crowd has been converted into something you would expect too see in a London wine bar.

I guess this is why i have seen bad reviews. Its hard to get in. The club obviously want smartly dressed people T shirt and trainers this is not the club for you. Clearly style not swag.

The club gets a big thumbs up from me. The West End has arrived in North London.

Bit expensive though.

We were fortunate enough to get a table on the evening of the 18th. Right from the start from entering the club we were welcomed and greated by the most charming staff members, the girls who greated us on the door welcomed us with a caring attitude. We were pleasantly escorted from the enterence to our table. Throughout the evening the staff were most pleasant and professional giving 100 percent and embracing everything we requested with priority and care. I truly understand that experiences like this are rare and really are special. It was my first visit and I can assure you it won't be my last due to the attitude and passion that all the staff showed. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of care and attention. The DJ is next level good!

Worst Nightclub in London.

The girls with the clipboards should be enough to persuade everyone to turn around and go somewhere else. Pretentious. It's Kilburn, not Monaco.

Avoid like the plague, you can do far better at any of the numerous clubs in Camden (10 mins away) or the West End.

After winning free entry and a round of 6 drinks, we were all quite excited about going dancing at L&L. However, this anticipation was instantly deflated by the obnoxious woman on the door, who clearly has delusions of grandeur and thinks that she runs a top Mayfair nightclub!! She purposely maintains a queue outside to make it look like the club inside is over-crowded, which it most certainly is not - even on a Saturday night!! Despite our offer, we were still made to pay £10 on the door.

Inside, the music is great, atmosphere would be great if it were crowded but again, the service was awful. Barmen and women looked bored and completely uninspired - drinks reflected that and were truly unpalatable, so much so that we just put them to one side.

Upon leaving, the minion on the door, was again in form, true to herself, informing us that we could not for one minute stand on the front porch (because of the crowds??!!) whilst it was pouring down and we were simply opening up our umbrellas and searching for where the nearest minicab office was.

I love other clubs in this family of venues - the Paradise is a NW institution and befitting and worthy of all and any praise. The place has real character and ambience and I would be happy to spend my money there. Love and Liquor has the potential to be similar but just massively let down by the staff! Firing the woman at the door would be a great start!

I was apprehensive about celebrating my birthday at Love and Liquor given some of the awful reviews I'd read, however I'm pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised! The organisation of my birthday guestlist was easy and the manager Clem was informative and responded quickly to my emails, he even introduced himself personally on the night and gave me some drink tokens which was nice! The staff were friendly and welcoming, even the dreaded 'clipboard lady' who was clearly having a tough evening, but was still smiling, and although we were outside in the cold for a while she explained that the queue moved slowly as everyone had to have bag searches, ID scanned etc and got us all in as quickly as possible. The club itself is a really funky place with a great atmosphere and great music and the photobooth in particular is a brilliant idea! Overall I'd highly recommend Love and Liquor - the only thing I would say is get there early as it does get really busy and it takes a while to get through the doors!

This "establishment"-if you can call it that- is run by a hoard of incompetant low lives. The lady who works on the door is a disgraceful excuse for a human being; She is un-professional, vulgar, unpleasant and appears to lack the most basic of morals. If you're looking for a fun relaxed night, I urge and warn you to avoid this place unequivocally. It is less "love and liquor", more disdain and venom.

I went there a weekend for my brother's birthday. Around 30 to 40 people with at least half of them girls. The evil clipboard lady that you will have no doubt already read about in many reviews completely ruined the night. My brother had booked a table and put us on the guest list. We each payed £12 entry and naturally headed to the bar to buy some drinks. After all but five of our party was inside and ordering drinks at the bar. The clipboard lady had a terrible attitude and refused to let them in, at first claiming there were too many guys, even though they were on the list and at least half being girls. She then changed her mind and said that we had not obligated or contractual obligation to order drinks on the table tab and that spending at the bar did not count. Never mind them not fulfilling their contractual obligation to give us a complimentary shot and glass of champagne. She was very rude to everyone including my brother who was politely reasoning with her to let the final five people in. In the end the only way she would allow it was if my brother paid £155 for a bottle of grey goose on the tables tab. She also asked the final five people to show her their purses to prove they had money to spend. On top of all this he lost his £50 deposit for no valid reason. All in all, you can do a lot better in London. Please heed my advice and the advice of many other reviewers and avoid this place like the plague.

Great place, great music and great staff. It was my first time there and I had read some of the reviews before I went. I was pleased with the whole service and club, and definitely will be going back soon.

Graeme

This place is terrible. The staff and extremely rude and lie to you constantly. Also quite e pensive and the drinks taste like they're watered down. Kate on the front door is a constant disappointment. The rest of the staff fail to show the slightest sign of an education which make the experience of the venue venue poor.

We’re visiting London from Miami and went to love and liquor on Saturday. It’s a dope spot with beautiful girls inside and the interior reminded us of NY. Bottle service was on point, we got throwed and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in London! The door girl gets a real hard time but she holds it down and she looks dope kinda like Liv Tyler – don’t believe some of the hype below!

One of the best Saturday nights out ive had in a long time. The brilliant music and atmosphere meant we were up dancing on our seats all night. i cannot fault how friendly and charming our waitress was who was more than willing to put up with my slightly drunk friends later on in the evening thanks to the amount of pomegranate cosmos we had. Will be back again

Mica

Went there recently and enjoyed the atmposhere. Shame the music was not to my taste but it has to be the friendliest clubs I have been to. Found everyone to be very helpful, and actually felt like a big huge party on the night. Would not rush back but only because the music is not to my liking.

james

Townie and with an edgy atmosphere. Can only agree with the other reviewer, avoid if you can, there are lots of better places to go.

Lilly

Do not go to this club. I was excited to spend my birthday at this club and was met at every stage with a very unprofessional attitude from staff. There was at no point even a smile. The door staff had an unjustified air of arrogance and a belief they had superiority over everyone else. They treat people with contempt and an unprofessional attitude. What a shame.
