This recently refurbished branch of the trusty Balls Brothers chain claims to be both vibrant and 'female-friendly', which may strike a welcome note with those who find its beef-and-burgundy-for-barristers image a little on the tired side. Three private dining areas have also been created - the Cuvee Louise, Vintage and Burgundy rooms - and the menu spiced up with the addition of a crustacea section, offering Colchester oysters and whole-dressed Cornish crab. At certain times of the week, specials on lobster, steaks and Champagne are offered.
