I went when working for Guardian Soulmates.  I was setting up a blind date in the main restaurant, and as chaperone ate in the bar.  The bar food wasn't great at all .... but the couple's meal looked incredible!  It is on the pricey side, but like most hotel restaurants is nice and quiet, and a good, high end option, if you want to get off the beaten track.

Met our friends here for lunch today . It was a fairly pleasant experience with attentive staff and a good ambience in the restaurant . However we waited over 20 mins between our starter and the main course. There was an apology by the waiter who said our food would be served in 5 mins but it was another 15 mins before it arrived. The portions were very small, although very good. We thought it was overpriced. We had coffee in the lounge before our meal and we're amazed that a cup of coffee was £15. I don't think we will visit again.,
