Food, or more accurately drink, miles are non-existent at this popular Blackheath bar and restaurant serving beers brewed on the premises. The microbrewery produces its own pilsner, pale ale, black lager and wheat ale, plus a changing choice of speciality or seasonal brews. If you’re particularly taken with your pint you can buy some to take home, in anything from a four-pinter (£9.80) to a 50-litre keg (£95). Superior woodfired pizzas are the main belly-fillers on the menu, with umpteen number of topping combos: how about steak and salsa; salmon and mascarpone; or pear and gorgonzola. You could also opt for mussels cooked six different ways (thermidor, thai green curry or, of course, marinière), or bangers and mash – perfect with a pint.
