Time Out has teamed up with tastelondon to offer you a fantastic one month free trial
Hidden down a dark and narrow passageway, this traditional pub is an in-the-know location for local workers, and would doubtless excite overseas tourists looking for something quaintly English. The small ground-floor room, with china plates lining the walls and an attractive little bar tucked in one corner, offers nowhere to hide, in keeping with the sense that most of the clientele are familiar to one another. The musty upstairs room is often empty, but it's worth a peek for its cluttered and dated decor and gentlemen's club feel. On tap are Adnams, Guinness, Kronenbourg and Stella, but one of the ample selection of whiskies seems the most appropriate tipple here.
