The Mitchell Brothers' overhaul of this Soho corner boozer has proved a great success, with punters flooding in to take their pick of an array of global beers ('19 and counting'). The colourful continental taps - Belle-Vue Kriek, Paulaner, Maredsous Blonde, Schneider Weisse, Küppers Kölsch and even Budvar Dark - stand in line with more familiar ones for Wadworth 6X and Guinness. Such variety comes in a more downbeat, open-plan interior, with plenty of space for you to tuck into your West Country Casterbridge beef burger with chips (£6.90). For intimacy, head to the refurbished space upstairs.
