• North London Tavern

  • Head past the smokers huddled under continental-style canvas awnings on this unsavoury stretch of Kilburn High Road to join the North London Tavern's laid-back, boho-leaning crowd on the slouchy leather sofas within. Set below a blood-red ceiling, an island bar terraced with whiskies and rums serves up pints of Harveys, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Deuchars, Adnams, Hoegaarden and Leffe as the buzz of good conversation fills the air. A regularly changing blackboard menu offers above average, reasonably priced pub food (served in the dining room to the rear) and the vibe is friendly and welcoming.

The North London Tavern is a great place for a tasty, reasonably-priced dinner in relaxed surroundings. The food is excellent, there's a good selection of wine on offer and the staff are always very friendly and attentive. Living in Kilburn, there isn't much need to go into central London to eat with this on my doorstep!
