Not so much a bar as a reproduction of your granny's sitting room, Bourne & Hollingsworth is not easy to find (walk down some steps at the junction of Percy and Rathbone Streets), but it warrants the effort - particularly on Tuesday nights, when good bands entertain cool, young boozers. For the rest of the week, it's hip pop, which sometimes triggers impromptu dancing - surprising, as the lounge is tiny. It all adds to the cosy feel of the place, as do the standard lamps, old fireplace and granny's flowery (but so chic) wallpaper. The range of cocktails is good, and prices even better (£5-£7), which - with the friendly atmos - make this a fine venue.

Been meaning to try this bar for ages and finally got round to it last night and it didn't disappoint!! Yummy cocktails served out of tea cups and coupes glasses....unusual and quaint. Loved it!
I absolutely love this bar - drinking there is like stepping back into another era. As a cocktail lover, the classic drinks they have on offer are wonderfully put together and reasonably priced. Great cocktails and a fantastic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it!
Went last Friday early evening, really nice atmosphere if you can get a table but it gets busier around 6. Drinks as expensive as you would expect in central London, but all in all a very friendly place with interesting war time decor, though a slightly bizarre choice of music... Shirley Bassey followed by funky house :S
Love it!
Excellent live music night 2nd Tuesday of moth called Kitchener's Travelling Circus. Eclectic mix of bands with an acoustic leaning but not the sit on a stool type.
