A baked potato café has opened in Soho

We've had a chip-only restaurant, a roast potato pop-up and now a jacket potato café has opened in Soho. Well they do say all good things (read: carbs) come in threes. The Potato Project pretty much does what it says on the tin, with a completely potato-themed menu apart from a few breakfast options including granola and porridge, where the humble spud clearly has no place.

But back to the main event: jacket potato toppings are split into two categories - 'a twist on a classic' and 'something a little different' - and you can expect everything from prawn and bourbon marie rose sauce to a shepherd’s pie ragu and salted ricotta. Oh, and did we mention the all-day breakfast spud? Yep, all your favourite fry-up components slapped on a baked potato - who in their right minds would order the porridge? And if you've got a sweet tooth, they've also got a sweet potato cheese cake to round off that balanced meal. The café is currently soft-launching but it officially opens on October 30.

The Potato Project is at 27 Noel Street, W1F 8GZ.

And have you heard about the beer bakery pop-up?
