Like ice cream and care about the future of London? You're in luck. Over the next two weeks, the kind folks at Ben & Jerry's will be giving away free scoops of chocolate fudge brownie ice cream as part of a campaign that's calling on Londoners to 'give a fudge' (geddit?) about the mayoral election.

According to figures from the Official of National Statistics, only one in five Londoners is registered to vote, which is why Ben & Jerry's will be handing out free ice creams and encouraging Londoners to register before the deadline on April 19. It kicks off at Hackney Town hall on April 1 – and no, this is not an April Fool's but you'd be a fool to miss it. Go go go!

Ben & Jerry's 'Give a Fudge' tour will be at:

Hackney Town Hall on April 1 (10am–noon and 2pm–4pm)

Windrush Square, Brixton on April 2 (noon–2pm)

Clapton Park Estate – Pedro Youth Club, Hackney on April 8 (2pm–4pm)

Noel Park estate, South Tottenham on April 9 (2pm–4pm).

Take a look at London's most lickable ice creams.
