Kombuch whaaa?

Yeah, I know, it's a bit of a mouthful. In more ways than one, as it's a fermented tea...

Eww, did you say fermented?

Yep, and it does taste a little bit like vinegar too. But they can't get enough of it in some nutty parts of the US and Australia, thanks to its (unsubstantiated) health-giving properties.

But can I try it in London?

You sure can. Just head down to Mick's Garage in Hackney Wick where they have a whole bar (called Jarr Kombucha) dedicated to the stuff. The folks at JK brew their own kombucha, as well as mixing it into some creative cocktails. Expect to see it spreading like a big green smoothie across the capital.
