Harry Potter fans! Today is officially 'Back to Hogwarts' day at King's Cross

Today is the first day of September. We've got that back-to-school, stiff shoes, new gel pens feeling. And for good reason, because today is #BacktoHogwarts day. 

That's right, witches and wizards from all over the country flocked to King's Cross St Pancras this morning to fling themselves through a brick wall and onto the famous Platform 9 3/4.

It's true, because JK Rowling says it is. 'If you're at King's Cross, the Potter, Granger-Weasley and Malfoy families are there too,' she tweeted earlier this morning. 

King's Cross has also confirmed the departure of the Hogwarts Express, posting details of the magical journey on its actual departure boards. 

And, as a result, all morning serious Potter fans have been trying to board the train...

Whether or not they are actually of school age...

Or have had their Hogwarts acceptance letter...

As for us, we're still patiently waiting for ours. Those damned owls, eh? So unreliable...
