The new Harry Potter movie 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' comes home to London tonight with a huge premiere in Leicester Square.

The movie will open in cinemas around the world on Friday and has already been gathering very positive reviews from critics and fans who have seen it early. But before then the film's cast – including Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton – will celebrate the film's opening with a huge home crowd in the West End this evening.

Fans have already been spying and sharing pictures of the huge decorations going up in Leicester Square ready for the event…

And Potter author and 'Fantastic Beasts' scriptwriter JK Rowling is gearing herself up for another stint on the red carpet after last week's world premiere of the film in New York.

If you're not able to make it down to Leicester Square yourself, don't worry, we'll be streaming the whole event via the Time Out London Facebook page, so come back from 5.45pm to see the stars arriving and being interviewed on the red carpet.

Will the original Potter stars – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and others – turn up to support their old colleagues? And will the wizarding powers of the Potter world be able to fend off the gloomy autumn weather? If you fancy joining the crowds yourself, we recommend getting down there early. It's going to be busy.

'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' opens in cinemas on Friday November 18. You can read our review here.
