It's really, really happening: the eighth Harry Potter adventure 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' starts previews at the Palace Theatre in three weeks' time and frankly we're hyperventilating with excitement.

Stoking our anticipation is this lovely – if cheerfully unrevealing – set of images (and bland accompanying quotes) just released, which do at least confirm that it will feature wizard hats, robes, and lovely, lovely wands. Enjoy, Muggles!

‘Putting the new Hogwarts cloaks through their paces.' - Steven Hoggett, movement director

WANDS SKETCH - 'What a thrill to imagine and manifest such magical props and invest them with new personalities.' Christine Jones, set designer

SUITCASES - 'We are on such an exciting journey creating this play for you.' - Christine Jones, set designer

WIZARD HAT - 'Felt wizard's hat: hand made, two weeks start to finish.' – Liz Crossman, milliner

FRONT OF HOUSE - Just unveiled: the first stage of our theatre's transformation, lots more to come!

ROBES SKETCH - 'Early sketch for the new Hogwarts black robes with added top robes and house hoods, as part of the uniform set. I was looking for a natural visual progression with this new story plus any ways to add individuality within the uniform.' – Katrina Lindsay, costume designer

SCONCES - ‘There are hand carved sconces for each of the houses – you can see some of them outside The Palace Theatre.’ – Christine Jones, set designer
