So, London, you think you're pretty funny, huh? Well, a new study begs to differ. Research from the unlikely source of insurance provider Swiftcover has revealed that the UK's funniest city is Liverpool, followed by Edinburgh and Glasgow in joint second place and Newcastle in third place. London came in at fifth place, which is just about respectable, but we're still taking it personally.
They also took a poll on the UK's funniest place names. There were some pretty worthy contenders, including Nob End in south Lancashire, Crotch Crescent in Oxford and Twatt in Orkney. But the number one spot went to Bell End near Lickey End. Real mature, guys.
