Cat-lovers (and anyone with a heart) can breathe a sigh of relief. A Londoner's cat that ran off into a tunnel at Green Park tube station has been rescued, three days after she escaped.

Lucy Duff was getting on the tube at Green Park earlier this week, when her cat, Lucky, jumped out of its carrier and scampered onto the tracks. She then started a campaign to find Lucky, with a £1,000 reward for anyone who could bring her cat home. But it turns out the cat wasn't just Lucky by name, as she was found by TfL on the tracks at 3am this morning tucking into a mouse. Well, what else is a cat to do down there? Apart from being a bit grubby and dehydrated, she's had no lasting damage and has now been reunited with her owner. Awww.

Read about the Kickstarter campaign to replace all the tube adverts with photos of cats.
